Volunteer on Cornell Cares Day 2025 with Hopalong Animal Rescue in Oakland! Show your generous Big Red spirit at this popular volunteer event, while benefiting from a fun and rewarding experience with fellow alumni.
Hopalong (now part of Marin Humane) has just moved into a new space, and volunteers will help with facility improvement, such as painting doors and hanging pictures. No experience necessary, and all supplies will be provided. You can feel good about helping to give rescue animals the life they deserve!
Please wear clothes that you can get dirty; it might be helpful to bring a pair of work gloves if you have them. There will be a brief orientation, followed by volunteer activities. You must be 18 years or older to volunteer, and please do not bring anyone under 18 if you are volunteering.
Registration closes on Thursday, June 5 at 5 pm, and is limited to 12 people. Wear your Cornell red!
