CAANC is a non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to the Cornell alumni community across the Bay Area. We are not funded by the University and rely exclusively on alumni dues and donations to support our organization's efforts on behalf of our local alumni and alumnae.
Your dues go to support four primary expense categories:

Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network (CAAAN): CAAAN is the organization that assists Cornell in recruiting undergraduate applicants. CAAAN hosts a number of recruiting events throughout the year for students, parents, and alumni, including an Applicant's Reception (Winter), Accepted Students Reception (Spring), and Freshmen Summer Send-Off Party (Summer). Further, it sponsors informational tables at high school college fairs across the Bay Area. CAANC is responsible for all of these costs.

Board Support: Includes costs related to monthly Board meetings (food and beverages, conference call service) and an annual Board retreat.

Website Infrastructure: Website maintenance costs through our host, Alumni Magnet.

Events: Merchant account costs through Cybersource, annual faculty speaker event (sponsored by the Cornell Alumni Federation), and other ancillary event-related expenses. And while all events are managed to at least break-even, sometimes we must cover event losses, as well.
